The job
Owner had been to the dealer twice and been quoted $1,800 for the cambelt alone. Came to us for a second opinion after a friend's recommendation.
What we did
- Free 30-minute check: confirmed brakes, cambelt, and a leaking sump gasket
- Written quote $1,420 total, customer signed off
- Cambelt kit, water pump, brake pads front, sump gasket replaced
- Full service items: oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, fluids
- Sign-off and warranty document at hand-back
Cost
Final invoice $1,420 including GST, matched the quote to the cent. About 21 percent less than the dealer's cambelt-only number.
